¿De qué va esto?

Según el diccionario un bazar es una tienda donde se venden mercancías diversas. Pues bien, tras darle muchas vueltas, por fin hice caso a las voces internas y externas que me pedían compartir los libros que leo y los lugares a los que viajo. Esas serán las mercancías de las que hablaré aquí.

No se me ocurre pensar un momento en que la lectura y los viajes estuvieran separados en mi vida, así que los he combinado en este blog. Lo mejor para entender cómo serán las entradas es que vayas a leer una.

¿Por qué en español y en inglés?

Porque soy bilingüe y leo, me comunico y vivo en ambas lenguas. Y porque ¿por qué  no?

Política de reseñas

• Leo sobre todo fantasía y terror, pero de vez en cuando me llama la atención algún libro que está en otro género. Suelo volver a releer los clásicos de vez en cuando. 
• No me gusta el género romántico, así que lo siento, pero no reseñaré libros de ese estilo.
• Llevo leyendo desde que aprendí a leer y eso, unido a mi formación y experiencia como autora, hacen que me dé cuenta de aspectos de la historia que a veces pueden pasar desapercibidos a otro tipo de lector. 
• Estoy abierta a recibir propuestas de libros para reseñar, ya sea por parte de autores o de editoriales, pero no puedo prometer nada. Un libro tiene que llamarme la atención por su sinopsis y por su portada (sí, me dejo llevar por la primera impresión, como casi todo lector).
• Acepto propuestas de autores indie —de hecho yo misma leo algunos a menudo porque creo que merecen una oportunidad y hay mucho talento por descubrir—, pero si me vas a enviar el libro que autopublicaste, asegúrate de que está bien maquetado y ha sido corregido. Puedo pasar algún fallo pequeño de ortografía, todos cometemenos errores, pero no puedo sumergirme en una historia si está plagada de fallos. 
• Acepto copias en papel o digitales, pero no en PDF (no leo en ordenador). Deben ser epub o mobi para usar mi eReader.
• Por último, quiero ser totalmente honesta en este blog. Si un libro no me gusta, lo diré, aunque no con saña, no soy tan malvada. Si tiene demasiados fallos o es infumable (y me lo ha enviado el autor), no publicaré la reseña y amablemente le escribiré para aconsejarle cómo mejorarlo.

What is this all about?

According to the dictionnary, a bazaar is a sale of various things. Well, after thinking about it for a long time, I have finally decided to listen to the inner and outer voices that were asking me to share the books I read and the places I travel to. Those will be the various things I will be talking about in here.

I couldn't think of a moment in my life where reading and travelling were two different things, so I have combined them in this blog. To understand better what the posts will be about how about reading one of them?

Why both in Spanish and English?

Because I'm bilingual and I read, communicate and live in both languages, and because why not?

Review policy

• I usually read fantasy or horror, but from time to time a book in another genry catches my attention. I tend to re read the classics every once in a while.
• I don't like romance so I'm sorry but I won't be reviewing books in that genre.
• I've been reading since I learned how to read and that, along with my education and experience as an author, helps me see aspects of the story that might go unnoticed by another type of reader.
• I'm open to book suggestions from authors or publishing houses, but I can't promise anything. A book must attract my attention with its blurb and cover (yup, I'm one of those people who believes in first impressions, as the majority of readers).
•  I accept indie books —I myself read a few indie books throughout the year as I believe in supporting them and finding new talent—, but if you are going to send me a selfpublished book, please make sure it has been proofread and the formatting is good. I can overlook a small mistake, we all make mistakes, but I cannot dive into the story if it's full of them.
• I accept print and digital copies, but not PDFs (I don't read on my computer), so they must be epub or mobi files.
• Finally, I'd like to be very honest in this blog. If I don't like a book, I will say so, although not in a hurtful way, I'm not that evil. If it has too many mistakes or it's terrible (and I have been given a copy by the author), I will not post a review. I will email the author to kindly explain the weak points so that I can help improve it.
